What is Family Support

Sometimes we go through a bad spell and times are difficult and you may not know where to turn or who to ask for support.

Family support is just that a pastoral approach to support not just the child but the whole family.  To help navigate any difficulties that, as a family, you could be facing.  that could b anything from money troubles, housing or even parenting advice.

Training and Upskilling

Interested in upskilling or getting into training that may help your future prospects.  We can help point you in the right direction.  Why not ask our Pastoral Lead, Mrs Fleckney for advice?

You can also try online platforms like National Careers Service or Skills Toolkit which was set up during the COVID pandemic but still can offer advice and signposted to help boost your own personal development.

In the academy, we also hold family learning sessions and workshops, where you can learn with your child.  Visit our dedicated page to Family Learning here and watch out for communications from us about upcoming courses and sessions.

Navigating Online

The online world is very much part of our day-t-day life and even more so for our children.  Navigating it can be difficult but we have put together useful resources that offer handy tips, cut through the jargon and may help.

These resources are updated regularly.
