Welcome to Year 6
Year 6 is a part of upper Key Stage 2 (Phase 3) and is the final year before leaving Hawes Side for the next big adventure - secondary school. In year 6 the focus is on readiness for high school, maximising knowledge - everything they have learned throughout their time at Hawes Side - their primary school years but of course with fun and adventure too!
Children in year 6 will have plenty of wonderful opportunities, whether that is their amazing residential, where they undoubtedly will build on their relationships. The responsibility in school by becoming part of Pupil Leadership or ambassadors for our academy. In addition to being role models for all their peers.
