At Hawes side Academy we work in partnership with Blackpool Adult College to deliver a range of family learning sessions throughout the academic year.
This is a great opportunity for families to support their learning at home through fun, simple and effective sessions.
Learning together is fun!
Typically the sessions are run on Thursday's from 1pm until 3pm. the first half of the sessions it is adults only, where together we learn the tools to engage our children. The second half children join in where together families can 'learn together'.
Below is some information on the sessions available:

Blackpool Rocks: Aimed at children in Year 1. Through fun activities, learn how to support your child's literacy, numeracy and science.

Christmaths Workshop: For families with children in Foundation. A Christmas themed workshop to support maths.

Learn Together: It helps families support their child's learning in early years Foundation.

Fun with Phonics: Learn how using phonics helps support children in KS1 with their reading and writing.

Twisted Tales: Support KS2 literacy through planning, editing and creating your very own 'twisted tale'. Together with your child, you can bring the words to life!

Keep up with the Kids (maths): This helps families support their Year 3 and 4 children with maths.
