We are so proud of each and every one of our children for their fantastic performance. This year, a large group of our Year 4 and Year 5 pupils have been rehearsing tirelessly since September to perfect their production of Aladdin. The show was packed with singing, acting, dancing and even a few tricks along the way!

From the moment they stepped onto the stage, they represented Hawes Side with confidence, energy and true professionalism. The cheers, applause and warm congratulations they received were thoroughly deserved. They performed with such enthusiasm, teamwork and talent, and it was a joy to watch them shine. Seeing the audience’s reaction reminded us exactly why we are so proud to be part of our Hawes Side community. I am sure you will all agree!

Their resilience and determination were evident throughout, and every single child represented Hawes Side brilliantly.

Mr Fleckney would like to extend a huge thank you to all of the staff who supported rehearsals and ensured the evening ran smoothly, including Mr Dawson, Mrs Black, Miss Pugh, Mrs Twiss and Mrs Boothroyd. Without their time, commitment and encouragement, the performance would not have been such a success.

We would also like to say a huge thank you to our parents and carers who supported at home — whether that was helping with singing, practising dances, or even face painting on the night. The children loved having you there to share in such a special experience.

Finally, Mr Fleckney would like to congratulate all of the children for being the shining stars that they are!

We are already looking ahead to next year’s performance. If your child is currently in Year 4 or Year 5 and would like to take part next year, or if you would like further information about this fantastic event, please contact the school office, who will be happy to help and add your child’s name for future involvement.
