Last week in maths, year 3 were looking at working how to convert metres into centimetres and then into millimetres. As part of their learning, the children took journeys from certain places to another and measured these in metres (approx.).

The children had to measure their distance in metres. They explored the distance between some of our classrooms, the water fountain to the lockers. We then all returned back to class and used our many calculations to work out the centimetres from metres. We worked out that there were 100cm in 1 metres and 10mm per single cm.

Well done 3S! You’ve made Mrs Scott and Mr Fleckney incredibly proud! Most of all, you’ve made yourselves very proud and should carry your heads high for setting a brilliant example to all learners around the academy.
