Year 2 are poets! In their classes they have been discussing poetry, exploring lyrics, rhyme and the structure of the verse. The children are using this knowledge to create their very own poem based on a favourite toy.
In maths year 2 have been recapping their learning on counting in steps - 2s, 3s, 5s and 10s. To help, the children have been singing songs to build on their fluency and applying these tools to reasons and problems.
In history year 2 have stepped back in time to explore London after the Great Fire. The have been researching how London was transformed after this devasting fire both architecturally and socially with the displacement of the thousands that lived in the city.
Year 2 love being outside for PE! They have relished the chance to sharpen their 'dodging' skills in their lessons, teaming up with friends, and with high energy and enthusiasm, having fun in their lessons.
