We had our OPAL Event this week and it was great to see so many of you come along. You joined in, hopefully gain some insight into our OPAL playtimes and helped us raise funds for our playtimes too. The money is still be counted but we estimate to have raised £450 plus, this includes the money raised from the Prize Draw! This is great for our children, who can have even more imaginative play whether that be on the field, astro-turf or the yard.
We have plans for the pallets that are outside the academy reception. You would be amazed at the imagination of our children who can see these seemingly simple objects and make them into a fortress, a boat, simply anything their minds come up with! Last week we had a huge marble run snaking the playground. Using tubes and tennis balls. The tyres are also a firm favourite; it is awe inspiring what the children can use these for as part of their creative play.
