This week, Parliament week, the children have enjoyed learning about voting. They have learnt about the right to vote and about how women gained the right to vote through the suffragette movement.
The children even had the chance to vote themselves and yesterday went down to our Hawes Side Polling Station in the library to cast their all important vote. They were voting for what game they would like to introduce to their OPAL playtimes, something that is very important to them.
The Pupil Leadership organised the event and the children relished having the opportunity to get there vote in....their vote is their voice.
It was wonderful to see democracy in action!
