Today is Armistice Day when we traditionally commemorate the armistice between the Allies and Germany in 1918.

It is a time to remember those that have fallen in conflict by having 2 minutes silence on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month.  This follows Remembrance Sunday when political and civic leaders lay wreaths at cenotaphs and war memorials.

Our academy fell silent for 2 minutes today in addition to donating to the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.
