What is a Parent Council?
Parent Councils are a way for schools and academies to encourage more parents to get involved in academy life.
At Hawes Side Academy we currently host a meeting for parents who wish to take a part in the Parent Council group on a Monthly basis.
At this meeting we will collectively discuss academy related matters. For example, at one of our recent meetings we discussed ways we can work together to increase attendance and how we can develop our extra-curricular provision. The meeting is an informal one inviting opinions and ideas from parents to support our journey forward together.
Every adult who has a child enrolled at Hawes Side Academy is automatically a member of our Parent Council and we welcome all parents who wish to attend.
For further information or suggestions for the agenda, please either contact the school office or email.
